John Dobbins is President of JTD TechAdvisors, providing strategic consulting services to MSPs, Enterprises and Cloud based network organizations specializing in Cost Reduction and Due Diligence. 

Dobbins was previously Chief Network Officer for Windstream following the Earthlink Acquisition. He was responsible for network engineering, architecture (CTO), network operations and capital investment as well as for the company’s network access organization. He came to Windstream in February 2017 from EarthLink, where he was executive vice president and managing director of network operations and wholesale. He previously served as senior vice president of network and access management for EarthLink.  Prior to joining EarthLink, he was vice president of network and access optimization for XO Communications, and he held a variety of sales, product management and access management roles at Global Crossing Telecommunications prior to its sale to Level 3 Communications.  John also currently serves on the Board of Directors or ConnectBase who offers a cloud based connectivity solution.

Dobbins holds an MBA with an emphasis in finance, marketing and entrepreneurship from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management information systems from Le Moyne College. He attended Harvard Business School’s Strategic Marketing Management Leadership Training Program.
