With over 25 years of experience in the submarine cable and telecommunications industries, Naaz has built her career on the principle that life is all about connecting— whether physically, virtually, or ideally, a combination of both. 

Her journey began as an events coordinator for companies such as Gillette and Flag Telecom. Naaz swiftly advanced through her role at Seaborn Networks before founding Team Bax – specialising in collaborating with telecommunications companies for projects and events consulting on short or long-term contracts that require specific industry expertise. Through Team Bax, Naaz has collaborated with notable companies like EdgeUno and Connectbase.

Through it all, she has broken through barriers and paved the way for future generations of women to succeed and has been instrumental in helping other women further their careers. Naaz is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion within the telecommunications and subsea communities and bringing young people into the industry. She chairs the Pacific Telecommunications Council Advisory Council, serves on the Women in World Trade New England Board, is an active member of SubOptic’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) Committee and PTC Beyond, and co-founded the ‘Women in Subsea’ movement.
