Robert Davidson was most recently CEO at Qarbon Technologies which he helped found in 1Q’22. Based in Asia, Robert has over 25 years of international leadership experience deploying and operating global networks and Managed Services across Europe, The Americas and Asia Pacific in Data Center services and Telecommunications industries.

Prior to starting Qarbon Technologies, Robert was the head of Network Strategy for Digital Realty in Asia. He has also held various Engineering and Operations leadership roles; Robert was with CenturyLink Communications where he was responsible for building their global telecommunications infrastructure outside of the continental US. Additionally, under his leadership, Robert has proven his expertise by turning around a negative cash flow business unit in under 5 years, and ultimately contributing to the reorganization of CenturyLink’s International operations. Robert was also responsible for the deployment of the Iridium Data Services offering where he previously served as a Senior Engineer.

Robert started his telecommunications career at Bellcore in New Jersey, rising to the role of Senior Engineer before leaving to join Iridium.

Globally, Robert is a well-established leader who is equipped with broad technical and operations abilities. He has extensive hands-on experience in pre-sales, service delivery and assurance for complex international solutions, and now leads the innovative MEF Data Center Automation Working Group as it looks to revolutionize how we view customer and platform orchestration in the Data Center space.
